Project Outline

I've been a fan of Nintendo games since I was a kid. Before Nintendo ventured into the gaming industry, they were a toy company that created Hanafuda, a style of Japanese playing card. Taking that as inspiration, I created my own Hanafuda-style graphic based on my favourite Nintendo franchise, The Legend of Zelda.

Challenges

Finding out how fonts work with different languages
I really cut my teeth on working with vector graphics in this project. I encountered challenges with creating shapes and other things I had not encountered while in school.

Results

This is a personal project, but one of my favourite "results" from it was the complement I got from the DTG print operator when I went to get the design put onto a t-shirt
